Do you take insurance?

Yes, sessions with me are either through insurance or cash based.  I accept major medical insurance out of network and I do insurance verifications prior to starting PT to inform you of costs prior to treatment. I also submit the claims to insurance for you.

How can I pay?

You can pay through Credit Card (Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Visa), Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, checks or cash. You can pay with a health insurance savings account (or FSA) if you are coming in for physical therapy with a doctor's prescription. I will provide you with an itemized receipt of the services performed for your FSA.  

Is there a cancellation policy?

Please give us 24 hr notice for appointment cancellations.  If you cancel your appointment in less than 24 hrs of your appointment time, or if you no show for an appointment, there may be a $75 fee implemented 

Do I need a Physical Therapy prescription?

In NYS, there is a law called Direct Access which states that you do not require a PT prescription for 1 month or 10 visits (whichever comes first) to attend Physical Therapy.  After one month, if you still need Physical Therapy, you will need a prescription from a medical doctor to continue.  For pediatric patients, prescription from medical doctor is required prior to treatment.

What should I expect during my first visit to Physical Therapy?

During your first visit to PT, please bring athletic wear or loose fitting clothes (women & girls- it is helpful to wear a sports bra if you're attending for back pain or scoliosis) 

 Christine will be assessing your movement through a detailed examination.  If you have any imaging and a prescription, please bring it to your visit.  

Should I arrive early to my PT appointment?

At PhysioStudio PT, appointments run on time.  No need to arrive early to your PT appointment. Appointments are booked one on one for the entire session.
